Product Overview
Our Indonesian shallots (Bawang Merah) are renowned globally for their intense, pungent flavor, potent aroma, and high concentration of essential oils. Sourced from optimal growing regions, we supply this essential spice both fresh (high moisture) and dry (low moisture), catering to the specialized needs of seasoning markets, food processing plants, and traditional medicine manufacturers worldwide.
Processing & Quality Control
Post-harvest, the shallots undergo careful curing and sun-drying or controlled dehydration to achieve the optimal moisture content necessary for extended transit and shelf life. Quality control involves meticulous size grading, rigorous visual inspection for any signs of rot, pests, or sprouting, and accurate moisture content verification before packaging.
Export Specifications, Applications & Compliance
Specifications are highly dependent on the state: Maximum Moisture Content is 65% for Fresh or Max 10% for Dry (e.g., Brebes variety). They are indispensable as an essential culinary seasoning, a raw material for powder/paste production, and an ingredient in traditional medicine. Compliance is ensured through the mandatory Phytosanitary Certificate and strict adherence to Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
